This is a pastel painting of my Miniature Horse "Star Dreamer".
Star Dreamer passed away last year at 24 years of age. I bought him as a 7 month old foal, and had him all his life. We did the Show Circuit when he was a young horse and he won many awards. He was a special little horse and a real character, and I miss him very much.

I hope you enjoy seeing my paintings and I will post them as I paint.

A baby Elephant in pen & ink
This dear little baby elephant with all his baby wrinkles just needed to be drawn in pen and ink. They are so sweet and vulnerable these tiny babies elephants!
I washed him in watercolor then added water-soluble pen work to his wrinkles. I then washed over the pen again, to make the blue color you see here. I was quite pleased with the way he turned out.
This was painted for the Wet Canvas Animal & Wildlife, September Challenge

Flowers & a Camel
A Camel painted in PanPastels and some pen & Ink added.
I thought I'd like to try the combination of mediums, and it worked quite well.
The Camel was painted for Wet Canvas, Animal & Wildlife May Challenge
Calla Lilies in watercolor and Inktense pencils. I loved the bright pink color of these lilies.
